About us
Founded by dance partners Deborah Holmes and Stefan Badea, Los Angeles based HeartSoles Foundation is a non-profit corporation dedicated to providing assistance to in-need dancers. After observing a regional competition in Cape Town, South Africa, the pair was inspired to help impoverished dancers who competed without the benefit of dance shoes. Many dancers wore street shoes or rubber sandals. Others danced barefoot. Some shared their shoes with those who had none. These hard-working artists awed us with their dedication to DanceSport and their desire to succeed.
We want all dancers to feel beautiful and prepared on the floor so they can excel. By providing shoes and competition attire we can create more confident, prepared competitors in the sport that we love so much.
